An online cab driver was shot dead in Karachi in what police suspect to be a case of personal enmity, while investigations are still underway.
Victim Identified
According to Beyond Time News, the deceased was identified as Vehando, a resident of Umerkot, Sindh. His body was shifted to a hospital for postmortem examination.
Incident Details
Police said the victim was sitting inside his vehicle with another person when unidentified armed suspects opened fire and fled the scene.
Officials added that Vehando used his private car as an online taxi service.
Possible Motive Under Investigation
Investigators believe the incident may be linked to personal enmity, although no clear motive has been confirmed yet. Police are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby locations to trace the attackers.
However, the victim’s family rejected the possibility of any known enmity.

Family Background
Family members said Vehando was a retired government employee who later began working as a ride-hailing driver after purchasing a car a few years ago. He was married and a father of eight children.
