Pakistan Commemorates First Anniversary of Marka-e-Haq Victory at GHQ

Pakistan marked the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, known as the “Battle of Truth,” with a solemn ceremony at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

According to Beyond Time News, Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir attended the event as chief guest, along with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu and Admiral Naveed Ashraf.

The military leadership laid floral wreaths at the Martyrs’ Memorial to honor soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty, while contingents of the three armed forces presented ceremonial salutes.

Asim Munir Reaffirms Pakistan’s Resolve

Addressing the ceremony, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said the anniversary reflected the nation’s unity, resilience, and strength. He stated that Pakistan had given a decisive response during last year’s conflict and successfully defended its sovereignty.

He also warned that any future aggression against Pakistan would receive a firm response, adding that modern warfare now extends beyond traditional battlefields into cyber and information domains.

According to Beyond Time News, he paid tribute to the martyrs and said their sacrifices would always remain a source of national pride.

President Asif Ali Zardari described Marka-e-Haq as a defining moment that showcased Pakistan’s unity and determination. He said the country’s response during the conflict was responsible, measured, and effective.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also honored the armed forces, martyrs, and veterans for their courage and dedication in defending the nation.

According to Beyond Time News, the prime minister said the coordinated response across land, sea, air, and cyber domains highlighted Pakistan’s strong defense capabilities.

Armed Forces Honor Martyrs Nationwide

In a joint message, Pakistan’s military leadership reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the country and honoring the sacrifices of martyrs.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said ceremonies were held across the country, where floral wreaths were laid at memorials and prayers were offered for fallen soldiers and veterans.

According to Beyond Time News, the ISPR described Marka-e-Haq as a symbol of national unity, military professionalism, and strategic strength.
