Dhaka – A viral video allegedly showing Bangladeshi wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das making taunting remarks about Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan has triggered controversy on social media following Bangladesh’s recent Test victory over Pakistan.
According to Beyond Time News, the clip surfaced after Bangladesh, led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, defeated Pakistan by 104 runs in the first Test, taking a 1–0 lead in the series. The win came after Bangladesh’s strong 2–0 Test series performance against Pakistan in 2024.
Viral Clip Draws Attention
In the circulating video, Litton Das is allegedly heard making comments about Rizwan’s standing in Pakistan, suggesting that criticism at home increases when a player fails after attempting aggressive shots.
The remarks quickly spread online, drawing mixed reactions from cricket fans across both countries.
Rizwan’s Form Under Scrutiny
The incident comes at a time when Mohammad Rizwan has been struggling with form across formats. His performances have declined in recent years, leading to changes in his role within the Pakistan team setup.
Since 2023, his overall batting average across formats has dropped significantly. He has also been left out of the T20 squad and is currently playing only in Tests and ODIs.
