BEIJING: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday met Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People as part of his ongoing four-day official visit to China.
According to details, the prime minister was accorded a guard of honour upon arrival, with official footage showing the formal welcome ceremony hosted by the Chinese side.
High-Level Delegation-Level Talks Held
During delegation-level talks, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed gratitude for the invitation and warm hospitality extended by the Chinese leadership. He said it is always a pleasure to visit China and noted the visible progress and development taking place across the country.
He also appreciated the continued strengthening of bilateral relations between Pakistan and China.
Senior Pakistani Leadership Accompanies PM
The prime minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and other senior officials.
Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir was also present during the occasion, according to official visuals.

Ongoing China Visit
PM Shehbaz arrived in China on Saturday for a four-day official visit. He reached Beijing after making a stop in Hangzhou earlier in the trip. The visit includes meetings aimed at strengthening economic, strategic, and diplomatic cooperation between the two countries.
