Karachi – Two co-accused in the Anmol Pinky drug case have approached the Karachi City Court, requesting removal of their names from the proceedings while claiming they are innocent.
According to Beyond Time News, Sohail-ur-Rehman and Zeeshan-ur-Rehman filed an application under Section 63-A seeking discharge from the case.
Accused Reject Allegations
In their petition, the applicants stated that they have no connection with the alleged narcotics network.
They denied any link with the main accused, Anmol alias Pinky, and maintained that they have been implicated without evidence.
The co-accused requested the court to drop the charges against them.
Court Application Under Review
The petitioners argued that continuing proceedings against them without evidence is unjust.
The court has not yet issued any decision on the application.
Case Background
Anmol alias Pinky was arrested earlier this month during a raid in Karachi’s Garden area conducted by police and a civilian intelligence agency.
She faces charges related to alleged possession of narcotics and an unlicensed weapon.
