Organizing Kashmir Freedom Movement on All Fronts Is Our Top Priority: Raja Fazal Hussain Tabassum

ISLAMABAD:A women’s Kashmir conference was held in Islamabad today, where Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir (Pakistan Circle) Raja Fazal Hussain Tabassum emphasized that organizing the freedom movement of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir on every front is and will remain the organization’s top priority.

Addressing the conference, Raja Fazal Hussain Tabassum paid rich tribute to the role of women in the Kashmir freedom movement. He said that a movement in which mothers, sisters, and daughters stand with dignity on every front can never be weakened. He added that the sacrifices and resilience of Kashmiri women have strengthened the struggle for freedom and given it moral force at the global level.

Senior Hurriyat Conference leader Zahid Safi, while speaking on the occasion, said that the Kashmir freedom movement is a sacred trust that must be taken to its logical conclusion through collective efforts. He described the role of women as a role model in the context of the freedom struggle. He paid homage to the great mothers who sacrificed their sons, the sisters who lost their husbands, and the daughters who lost their brothers for the cause of freedom, calling them benefactors and protectors of the nation.

Aadil Tarabi, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir (Valley Circle 5), thanked the organizational team of Jamaat-e-Islami Women Wing AJK for successfully organizing the conference. He said that working with Jamaat-e-Islami is an act of worship, as it is a movement for the establishment of Islam and focuses on systemic change, which makes it distinct and unique among other political and religious parties.

The conference was also addressed by Secretary General Women Wing Jamaat-e-Islami AJK Dr. Talat, Dr. Faryal Amberin, Assistant Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Rukhsana Ghazanfar, and Nazima Halqa Khawateen Azad Jammu and Kashmir, who highlighted the importance of women’s participation and organizational strength in advancing the Kashmir freedom struggle.

The speakers unanimously reaffirmed their commitment to continue political, diplomatic, and social efforts to highlight the Kashmir issue at national and international levels, with special emphasis on empowering women as a vital force in the freedom movement.
