ISLAMABAD: The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) held an important meeting on Wednesday, chaired by Allama Dr. Muhammad Raghib Hussain Naeemi, with members joining online in line with the federal government’s austerity policy.
According to Beyond Time News, the session covered a range of national and international issues, along with tributes to Pakistan’s armed forces and leadership.
Tribute to Armed Forces and Leadership
During the meeting, the chairman praised the performance of Pakistan’s armed forces, highlighting what he described as a significant achievement in last year’s military developments. He also appreciated the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for their roles in maintaining national security and stability.
He stated that Pakistan had rejected allegations made after the April 22, 2025 incident in Pahalgam and had instead offered a transparent and impartial investigation.

Appreciation for Peace Efforts
The Council also acknowledged the government’s diplomatic efforts in securing a ceasefire and promoting peace in the context of recent regional tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. Members praised the leadership for prioritizing stability during a sensitive period.
Concern Over Overseas Incident
In addition to policy discussions, the Council expressed concern over an incident reported in London involving disruptive elements. Members, including Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, urged the authorities to take swift action against those responsible.
Focus on National Issues
The meeting reflected the Council’s ongoing role in advising on matters of public importance, combining religious guidance with national policy considerations.
