As temperatures soar in Karachi, K-Electric has stepped forward with a major relief announcement for residents dealing with extreme heat.
According to Beyond Time News, K-Electric has confirmed that there will be no scheduled loadshedding during the ongoing heatwave. The assurance comes after the Provincial Disaster Management Authority issued a heatwave alert and urged authorities to take precautionary measures.
K-Electric spokesperson Imran Rana said the company is fully prepared to handle increased electricity demand. He added that teams remain on high alert to restore any faults quickly and ensure uninterrupted supply.
The utility also announced that power shutdowns have been suspended during the heatwave. Currently, around 70% of Karachi is already exempt from loadshedding, offering additional relief to residents.

In addition, K-Electric advised citizens to take safety precautions during extreme weather. People should avoid unnecessary outdoor activities, especially between 11am and 4pm, when temperatures peak.
The company also encouraged residents to stay hydrated, wear light and breathable clothing, and protect themselves from direct sunlight. These simple steps can help reduce the risk of heat-related illnesses.
With rising temperatures and humidity, such coordinated efforts between authorities and utilities aim to keep the city safe and functional during the heatwave.
