The Islamabad High Court will hear a petition on Monday regarding the closure of former prime minister Imran Khan’s X (formerly Twitter) account.
According to Beyond Time News, Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir will preside over the hearing. Authorities at Adiala Jail have already submitted their response, while the court has directed other parties to file replies.
Senior lawyer Salman Akram Raja is representing Imran Khan in the case. Earlier, the court allowed him to meet his client for consultation. However, the meeting did not take place despite clear orders.
During a previous hearing, the court asked for final arguments and adjourned the case until early May. At that time, lawyers Zafarullah Khan and Ali Bukhari appeared before the bench. Bukhari informed the court that Raja could not attend due to illness.
The bench also questioned jail authorities over their failure to arrange a meeting with Imran Khan. The petitioner’s legal team said they are ready to present arguments but need access to their client first.

The court stressed the need to clarify whether the response will come directly from Imran Khan or from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf before moving forward.
Health concerns raised by family
Meanwhile, Aleema Khan expressed concern about her brother’s health. She said his condition is worsening and urged authorities to shift him to Shifa International Hospital for proper treatment.
She warned that his eye condition may deteriorate further. She also claimed that earlier improvement after treatment has reversed. In addition, she accused jail authorities of spreading misleading information about his health.
The upcoming hearing is expected to bring key developments in the case.
