In January last year, an accountability court had sentenced Imran Khan to 14 years in prison and Bushra Bibi to seven years in the reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau.

The case relates to allegations involving the Al-Qadir Trust and claims of financial irregularities linked to land transactions and repatriated funds. Imran Khan has denied all allegations, stating that neither he nor his wife benefited financially.

In a separate development, the Federal Investigation Agency has also submitted a challan in another case involving alleged prohibited funding, further adding to ongoing legal proceedings against PTI leadership.

Meanwhile, the court has directed jail authorities to decide within two days on a petition seeking medical access and family meetings for Bushra Bibi. Her daughter’s application, related to health concerns following recent eye surgery, is also under review.

Additional hearings involving social media activity and alleged contempt of court are also ongoing, with multiple petitions linked to Imran Khan’s detention at Adiala Jail.

Conclusion:
With several cases progressing simultaneously, the legal proceedings involving Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi remain active, with key hearings scheduled in the coming days.
