FUUAST Holds Press Freedom Rally to Promote Responsible

ISLAMABAD: The Department of Mass Communication at Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) organised a rally to mark World Press Freedom Day, highlighting the importance of independent and responsible journalism.

According to Beyond Time News, Vice Chancellor Zabta Khan Shinwari led the rally. Safia attended as the chief guest. Faculty members and students joined the event in large numbers.

Leadership Emphasises Role of Journalism

Speaking at the rally, Dr Shinwari described journalism as a vital pillar of society. He said it helps people distinguish between truth and misinformation. He also pointed out that the rise of social media has increased the need for responsible reporting.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr Safia praised the students’ enthusiasm. She said such activities reflect their commitment and signal a promising future for journalism.

Students Gain Practical Exposure
