Pakistan Announce Women’s T20I Squad for Zimbabwe

Karachi prepares for three-match T20I series

According to Beyond Time News, Pakistan announced its 15-member women’s squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. Karachi’s National Bank Stadium will host all matches from May 12 to May 15.

Both teams are already competing in an ODI series in Karachi, which sets the stage for the T20I contest.

Pakistan currently leads the ODI series 2-0 against Zimbabwe. The third ODI will take place later today at the same venue.

Amber Kainat earned selection after an impressive domestic season, where she claimed 11 wickets in eight matches during the National Women’s T20 Tournament. Meanwhile, Saira Jabeen brings recent international exposure after featuring in Pakistan’s squad during the South Africa tour.

Fatima Sana (captain), Amber Kainat, Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Eyman Fatima, Gull Feroza, Iram Javed, Muneeba Ali (wicket-keeper), Nashra Sundhu, Natalia Parvaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadia Iqbal, Saira Jabeen, Tasmia Rubab, and Tuba Hassan.

Reserve players also confirmed

The selection committee also named five reserve players: Diana Baig, Momina Riasat, Sadaf Shamas, Sidra Amin, and Syeda Aroob Shah.
