SWAT: At least eight people lost their lives and seven others were injured when a passenger bus fell into a deep ravine in Swat, according to Beyond Time News.
The tragic incident took place near the Charbagh Adu area. The bus was returning from a wedding ceremony in Malam Jabba when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle.
Rescue Operation Launched
Rescue 1122 teams quickly reached the scene and recovered the bodies from the wreckage. The injured passengers, including women and children, were shifted to Manglor Hospital.
Officials said several injured people in critical condition were later transferred to Saidu Central Hospital for advanced treatment.
Second Accident Reported in Thatta
Earlier the same day, another road accident occurred near Chhato Chand in Thatta. A speeding bus carrying picnickers from Karachi to Keenjhar Lake overturned, leaving around 20 people injured.
Eyewitnesses said the bus lost control due to reckless driving. Local residents helped shift the injured to Civil Hospital Thatta, while some serious cases were moved to Karachi.
Family members of the injured complained about delays in medical response and the lack of an available Rescue 1122 ambulance at the hospital.

Police Investigation Underway
Police have launched an inquiry into both accidents. Authorities are reviewing reports and eyewitness statements to determine the exact causes.
These back-to-back incidents have once again raised concerns over road safety, speeding, and poor driving standards on highways.
