Lakki Marwat: At least nine people, including two traffic police officials, were martyred and 23 others injured in a powerful explosion in Sarai Naurang tehsil of Lakki Marwat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, police said on Tuesday.
Blast Details
According to police, a loader rickshaw carrying explosives detonated in a busy market during peak hours, causing heavy casualties and widespread panic.
Rescue and Emergency Response
Rescue 1122 teams reached the site immediately after the blast and shifted the dead and injured to Naurang Hospital. Several injured persons are reported to be in critical condition, raising fears that the death toll may increase.
Police and Bomb Disposal Squad personnel cordoned off the area and began collecting evidence for investigation.
