QUETTA: A massive fire at a Customs warehouse in the Lakpass area of Mastung district has continued for more than 48 hours, with firefighting efforts still ongoing.
Extent of Damage
The blaze broke out at a facility used to store seized goods, including smuggled items, and is reported to have destroyed goods worth billions of rupees. Dense smoke continues to blanket the area.
The fire is also said to have spread to nearby vehicles and parked trucks.
Firefighting Efforts
Fire brigades from Quetta and Mastung, supported by around 10 fire tenders, are struggling to control the blaze. Strong winds and difficult access have hampered operations.

Casualties and Earlier Incident
Earlier reports indicated that at least 35 people sustained burn injuries after an LPG tanker explosion during the incident.
Security Concerns
Reports also suggest incidents of looting at the site amid the chaos, while authorities continue to work to bring the situation under control.
