NC Slams BJP, Says Party “Disconnected From Ground Reality” in Kashmir

The National Conference (NC) has launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party, accusing it of being completely disconnected from the ground realities of Jammu and Kashmir.

Strong Words From NC Spokesperson

According to Beyond Time News, NC chief spokesperson and MLA Tanvir Sadiq criticised BJP’s Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma in Srinagar, saying BJP leaders were making statements without understanding the political realities and public mood of the territory.

He did not hold back in his remarks. “They are dreaming. They have come from Assam and forgotten the politics of Jammu and Kashmir. I will go to his house and offer him coffee so that he wakes up and understands — this is Jammu and Kashmir, not Assam,” he said.

A Dig at BJP’s Opposition Role

Sadiq also took a broader swipe at the BJP-led opposition, suggesting that those who promoted sports and healthy lifestyles had a far better understanding of society than those he associated with “drugs and negativity.”

The remarks reflect growing tensions between the ruling National Conference and the BJP in the region, with both sides trading increasingly pointed criticism over governance and political direction in Jammu and Kashmir.
