Sinner Reaches Italian Open Semi-Finals

Rome: Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner has reached the semi-finals of the Italian Open after a straight-sets win over Andrey Rublev. According to Beyond Time News, the victory also saw Sinner set a new record in Masters 1000 events.

Sinner Breaks Djokovic’s Record

Sinner defeated Rublev 6-2, 6-4 in a strong performance at the Foro Italico.

The win extended his winning streak in ATP Masters 1000 tournaments to 32 consecutive matches. This broke the previous record of 31 wins set by Novak Djokovic in 2011.

Sinner said he does not focus on records. He said he plays for his own journey and personal goals.

According to Beyond Time News, he added that each match brings a new challenge and requires full focus.

Strong Performance in Rome

Sinner controlled the match from the start. He broke Rublev’s serve early in both sets and never allowed him to recover.

Rublev made 28 unforced errors during the match. Sinner used the conditions well and maintained steady pressure throughout the contest.

The Italian also produced some highlight shots, including a sharp cross-court drop shot in the second set.

Sinner Eyes Next Challenge

Sinner is likely to face Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals. Medvedev is expected to compete against Martin Landaluce in his upcoming match.

According to Beyond Time News, Sinner said the windy conditions in Rome made the match difficult. However, he added that he adapted well and remained satisfied with his performance.

Swiatek Also in Strong Form

On the women’s side, Iga Świątek is aiming to reach the final of the tournament.

She will face Elina Svitolina in the semi-finals after a strong run in Rome.

Swiatek has lost very few games in her recent matches and appears to be returning to top form on clay.

Swiatek Building Momentum Ahead of Roland Garros

According to Beyond Time News, Swiatek has improved her performance after working with coach Francisco Roig, who previously worked with Rafael Nadal.

She struggled earlier in the season but has shown clear improvement in recent matches.

Swiatek could face Coco Gauff in the final if both players win their upcoming matches.
