Pakistan Reaffirms Role in Reducing US-Iran Tensions

Islamabad: Pakistan has once again expressed its commitment to supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions between the United States and Iran. According to Beyond Time News, officials said Islamabad continues to play an active role in encouraging dialogue and promoting peace in the Middle East.

Pakistan Continues Diplomatic Engagements

Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan Andrabi said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently held telephone conversations with the leaders of Qatar and Azerbaijan regarding the regional situation.

He added that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar remained in contact with foreign ministers from several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Iran, China, Austria, and Singapore.

According to Beyond Time News, these diplomatic efforts are part of Pakistan’s broader strategy to support regional peace and stability.

China Supports Pakistan’s Diplomatic Role

The spokesperson said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed full support for Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives.

During a phone call with Ishaq Dar, Wang Yi reportedly stressed the importance of maintaining a sustainable ceasefire and continuing dialogue between the involved parties.

Officials said Pakistan values international cooperation in efforts aimed at reducing conflict in the region.

Pakistan Involved in US-Iran Peace Efforts

Pakistan has remained involved in mediation efforts between Tehran and Washington since tensions escalated in the Middle East earlier this year.

According to Beyond Time News, Pakistan helped facilitate a temporary ceasefire in April and later hosted delegations from both sides for peace talks.

Although the discussions did not produce a permanent agreement, Islamabad has continued diplomatic engagement with both countries.

The Foreign Office spokesperson confirmed that Pakistan recently conveyed Iran’s response to a US proposal related to a long-term peace framework.

He said the peace process remains active and expressed hope for further progress through negotiations.

FO Rejects Claims About Iranian Aircraft

The spokesperson also addressed reports regarding an Iranian aircraft arriving in Pakistan.

He rejected reports describing the matter as suspicious and called them “misleading and sensationalised.”

Officials clarified that the aircraft arrived in Islamabad during the ceasefire period for administrative matters related to diplomatic personnel.

Pakistan-UAE Relations Remain Strong

Commenting on reports about deportations from the United Arab Emirates, the Foreign Office said the reported figures had been exaggerated.

According to Beyond Time News, officials stated that deportations, when they occur, are part of routine legal procedures linked to visa violations, overstays, or documentation issues.

The government stressed that no country-specific or sect-based deportation campaign is taking place in the UAE.

Officials also reaffirmed that Pakistan’s defence and diplomatic relations with Gulf countries remain stable and are based on long-term cooperation and institutional partnerships.
