Federal Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousuf Warns Against Any Misconduct During Hajj Operations
Makkah: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousuf has instructed all Hajj supervisors to maintain the highest standards of ethics, discipline, and behavior while serving Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj 2026.
According to Beyond Time News, the minister made these remarks while addressing 681 Maktab Nazmeen (supervisors) at the Pakistan Hajj Mission in Makkah on Tuesday.
He clearly stated that authorities would not tolerate any negligence, misconduct, or inappropriate behavior toward pilgrims staying in the holy sites of Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah, and Jamarat.
Supervisors Asked to Support Pilgrims at Every Step
During the briefing session, the minister urged supervisors to ensure respectful communication and professional conduct throughout the pilgrimage journey.
He emphasized that Pakistani pilgrims should feel fully supported by the Government of Pakistan, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the Pakistan Hajj Mission during every stage of Hajj.
The minister also pointed out that pilgrims come from different regions of Pakistan and represent diverse languages, cultures, and traditions. Therefore, he said supervisors carry even greater responsibility to assist them with patience and care.
Senior Officials Attend High-Level Briefing
Several senior officials from the Pakistan Hajj Mission attended the meeting alongside the minister.
The participants included Abdul Wahab Soomro, Chief Coordinator Mirza Ali Mahsud, Coordinator Makkah Zulfiqar Khan, and other administrative officers responsible for Hajj arrangements.
Officials reviewed operational planning, pilgrim services, accommodation management, transportation coordination, and monitoring systems during the session.
Digital Monitoring System Introduced for Pilgrim Assistance
The minister revealed that the Pakistan Hajj Mission has implemented a digital monitoring system to improve coordination and pilgrim support during Hajj operations.
Under the system, one supervisor has been assigned to every 188 pilgrims. The designated official will remain attached to the same group throughout the entire Hajj journey.
According to the minister, the supervisors will assist pilgrims from their departure in Pakistan until their return home after completing the pilgrimage.
Officials believe the monitoring system will help improve communication, accountability, and emergency response during Hajj.
PM Shehbaz Sharif’s Directives Highlighted
The minister said the arrangements are being carried out under the special instructions of Shehbaz Sharif, who directed authorities to provide maximum comfort and facilitation for Pakistani pilgrims.
He added that senior management teams, including DG Hajj officials, are personally inspecting arrangements in Makkah to ensure smooth operations and better services.
The minister assured that authorities are closely monitoring accommodation, transportation, food services, and pilgrim welfare throughout the Hajj season.

Saudi Authorities Praised for Hajj Arrangements
During his address, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf also appreciated the efforts of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for managing Hajj operations for millions of Muslims from around the world.
He praised the leadership of Mohammed bin Salman and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for their support and arrangements for pilgrims.
Supervisors Reminded of Spiritual Responsibility
The minister reminded the Nazmeen that serving pilgrims is both an administrative duty and a spiritual responsibility.
He encouraged them to perform their duties sincerely and professionally, adding that excellent performance would bring honor to the country and earn official appreciation certificates.
At the same time, he warned that negligence or poor conduct could damage Pakistan’s reputation during the Hajj season.
The session concluded with officials repeating the slogan: “Service to Pilgrims is Our Worship.”
