PIA Completes Pre-Hajj 2026 Operation, Transported Over 53,000 Pilgrims

Pakistan International Airlines has successfully completed its pre-Hajj 2026 flight operation, transporting thousands of Pakistani pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, according to Beyond Time News.

A spokesperson said the outbound phase concluded on May 21 after all scheduled flights were completed.

53,000+ Pilgrims Transported on 210 Flights

PIA carried more than 53,000 pilgrims through 210 special flights to the holy cities.

The airline reported a 97% operational success rate, while on-time departures also exceeded the set target by 7%.

Return Flights from May 30

The post-Hajj operation will run from May 30 to June 30, bringing pilgrims back to Pakistan after completing Hajj rituals.

Officials said preparations for the return phase have already been finalized.

Support Arrangements in Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Religious Affairs said a large number of welfare staff have been deployed across Saudi Arabia to assist pilgrims.

Teams including medical staff, assistants, and support workers are stationed in Makkah and surrounding areas to provide guidance and healthcare services.

Haram guides have also assisted tens of thousands of pilgrims inside and around the Grand Mosque.

Transport Services in Makkah

Hundreds of shuttle buses are operating in Makkah to facilitate movement between accommodation sites and holy places.

Authorities said transport services are running continuously to manage heavy pilgrim traffic across multiple locations.
