ISLAMABAD: The federal capital administration has issued a new notification introducing revised working hours across commercial sectors as part of energy conservation measures.
According to Beyond Time News, the new schedule came into effect on June 1.
New Closing Times for Markets and Shops
Under the notification, all markets and shopping malls in Islamabad will now close at 8:00 pm.
Restaurants, food outlets, bakeries, grocery stores, vegetable and fruit shops will be required to shut down by 10:00 pm.
Marriage halls, marquees, and private event gatherings have also been directed to conclude operations by 10:00 pm.
Exempted Services
The administration has exempted several essential and service sectors from the restrictions.
According to Beyond Time News, take-away and home delivery services will continue without time limitations.
Hospitals, pharmacies, medical laboratories, and medical stores will also remain open as usual.
Similarly, petrol pumps, CNG stations, and milk and dairy shops are exempt from the new timings.

IT companies, call centres, gyms, and sports facilities will not be subject to the revised restrictions.
