Srinagar: Indian forces have launched a large-scale search operation in the Lawaypora area on the outskirts of Srinagar in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Beyond the Time News, an official confirmed that multiple security units have been pressed into service and a comprehensive cordon has been laid in the area.
“All houses and open fields are being thoroughly searched,” he said.
The operation, the official added, was initiated following inputs suggesting the possible movement of suspicious individuals in the locality. However, such claims are frequently used as a pretext for military operations in the occupied territory. The true aim of these operations is to harass, intimidate and pressure Kashmiris into abandoning their struggle for the internationally-recognized right to self-determination.
Additional reinforcements have been deployed, and more areas sealed as the operation continues.
