“How is my favourite field marshal”? President Trump’s question to Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that during a recent meeting in Davos, US President Donald Trump asked him, “How is my favourite field marshal”?

According to Beyond the Time News, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that in response, he pointed to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, who was sitting in the front row of the guests.

During the signing ceremony of the Peace Board agreement by the members, TV channels around the world showed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Donald Trump pointing to the field marshal.

The Prime Ministers also shared details of their brief meeting with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos and said that he appreciated President Trump for his initiative to establish a Peace Board for Gaza, which he described as an important step towards restoring peace in the war-torn region.

According to the Prime Minister, he told President Trump that if he succeeds in ensuring peace, dignity and fundamental rights for the Palestinian people and the reconstruction of Gaza is successful, history will remember this initiative as his great legacy.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister also paid tribute to President Trump’s effective role in ending the tension between Pakistan and India and expressed his gratitude. He said, “Mr. President, history will remember you as a great leader who saved millions of lives in the region by intervening in a timely and effective manner.”

Mentioning an interesting aspect of the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that President Trump himself inquired about the Army Chief of Pakistan.

According to the Prime Minister, this short meeting was held in a pleasant atmosphere and was very positive and constructive.
