One killed, another critically injured in Srinagar road accident

Srinagar: One person was killed and another critically injured in a road accident in the Noorbagh area of Srinagar in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Beyond the Time News, the victims were identified as Faizan Ahmad Sheikh (25) and Umer (24), both residents of Narainbagh, Ganderbal.

Both sustained serious head injuries in the accident and were shifted to Jehlum Valley Hospital, Bemina, for treatment. However, doctors declared Faizan Ahmad dead on arrival due to the severity of his injuries. The condition of the other injured youth, Umer, remains critical and he is undergoing treatment, hospital sources said.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a 47-year-old man was found burnt to death inside his house in Kanipora, Nowgam area Srinagar.

The deceased was identified as Zameer Ahmad Teli (47). Officials said the body was found in a charred condition at his residence. Police reached the sopt after the incident and shifted the body to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire and death.
