In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has criticised the BJP-led government for not fulfilling its promise to restore statehood to the region.
According to Beyond Time News, he said there is still no clear explanation or timeline from the government on when statehood will be reinstated.
Speaking in Jammu, Omar Abdullah questioned the repeated claim that it will happen “at the right time,” asking what that actually means in practical terms.

He also raised concerns over delays in implementing women’s reservation in legislatures, saying key commitments are yet to be delivered.
According to Beyond Time News, he stressed that political promises should be clear, accountable, and backed by action rather than vague assurances.
