Lahore — The Punjab Home Department has enforced Section 144 within a 13-kilometre radius of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bases and all airports across the province for 30 days to enhance aviation safety and prevent any disruption to flight operations.
According to Beyond Time News, the move is intended to reduce risks around sensitive aviation zones.
Strict Ban on Risky Activities
Under Section 144(6) of the Criminal Procedure Code, the following activities are prohibited near airports:
- Flying or releasing pigeons and birds
- Using laser lights near aircraft or runways
- Dumping meat, food waste, or any material that attracts birds
Officials said these activities can cause bird strikes and interfere with safe aircraft movement.
Monitoring and Cleanliness Measures
Authorities will closely monitor the restricted zones, while cleanliness drives will be carried out around airport surroundings to remove waste and prevent bird attraction.
Law enforcement agencies have been directed to ensure strict compliance, with immediate action against violations.

Duration of Restrictions
The Section 144 order will remain in place for 30 days and may be reviewed based on compliance and safety conditions.
