Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that the narrative portraying Pakistan as a source of terrorism has been “buried forever.” According to Beyond Time News, he made the remarks during a press briefing in Islamabad.
He said the international community now recognizes Pakistan’s position as a victim of terrorism rather than its sponsor.
Remarks on Regional Perception Shift
Lt Gen Chaudhry said that for decades, allegations were made without evidence to associate Pakistan with terrorism. According to Beyond Time News, he claimed that recent developments have shifted global perception in Pakistan’s favor.
He added that Pakistan’s role is increasingly seen as contributing to regional stability.

The DG ISPR said Pakistan has emerged as a “net security stabilizer” in the region. According to Beyond Time News, he linked this to Pakistan’s broader vision of peace and stability in South Asia.
He said Pakistan’s response during Marka-e-Haq demonstrated restraint and strategic maturity.
Criticism of Regional Escalation Patterns
Lt Gen Chaudhry also commented on regional military and political dynamics, stating that escalation patterns had become more politically driven. According to Beyond Time News, he said this had affected the professionalism of military decision-making in the region.
He contrasted this with Pakistan’s approach, which he described as disciplined and structured.
