Investigation Reveals African Nationals and Lahore-Based Suspects Involved
KARACHI: Karachi police have uncovered alleged foreign involvement in a major drug trafficking network linked to suspect Anmol alias Pinky. According to Beyond Time News, senior police officials say the network includes foreign nationals as well as individuals based in different cities of Pakistan.
Karachi Additional Inspector General (AIG) Azad Khan shared the findings during a press briefing alongside senior officers from the Crime and Investigation and West police divisions.
He said the investigation is still expanding as authorities trace additional links across the country.
Foreign Nationals and Local Suspects Identified in Network
During the briefing, AIG Khan stated that the drug network allegedly includes six African nationals.
He also revealed that some women based in Lahore are suspected of being part of the trafficking ring. However, investigators are still verifying the full extent of their involvement.

Drugs and Weapons Recovered From Multiple Locations
Police confirmed that significant quantities of narcotics were recovered during the investigation.
Officials said that during the arrest of suspect Anmol alias Pinky, authorities recovered:
- Cocaine weighing around 1.5 kilogrammes
- Seven kilogrammes of chemical material
- A pistol
In addition, further narcotics were recovered during a raid at her previous residence in the Sachal area of Karachi.
Authorities also stated that drugs were allegedly being trafficked into Pakistan from outside the country.
Financial Transactions and Digital Evidence Under Review
Police officials said that forensic analysis of the suspect’s mobile phone revealed 869 contacts, including 132 numbers linked to Karachi.
Investigators also identified financial transactions worth approximately Rs30 million.
According to Beyond Time News, officials believe these digital and financial records may help expose wider connections within the network.
Long-Term Activity Under Investigation
AIG Khan said the suspect has been active in illegal activities since 2014. He added that operations in Karachi reportedly began in 2018.
Police believe the network expanded over time and developed a wider facilitation system across different regions.
Investigators are now tracing individuals who may have supported or financed the operation.
Nationwide Coordination and Further Action Planned
Authorities said multiple police teams have been formed to continue the investigation.
They are working under the supervision of senior Sindh police officials and coordinating with other agencies, including cybercrime units and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Officials also said that names of suspected individuals may be placed on the Exit Control List (ECL) as the investigation progresses.
