Authorities said Waheedullah was involved in several attacks on security forces and civilians. He was also linked to a recent attack in Bannu in which Lieutenant Colonel Gul Faraz was martyred.

Second Operation Near Lakki Marwat Border
In another operation near the Bannu border area, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) targeted militants hiding in a forest.
According to Beyond Time News, two more terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire. During the operation, a police constable, Atiqur Rehman, was martyred while fighting bravely.
Officials also confirmed that a wanted commander, Amir Sohail alias Omar Khattab, was among those killed. He was involved in attacks on police, targeted killings, and bomb blasts.

After the encounter, police and CTD teams started a large search operation in the area. Armored vehicles and additional forces were also deployed.
