A gunman was killed after opening fire outside the Quran and Sunnah Academy of religious scholar Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza in Jhelum on Sunday. The scholar remained safe during the incident.
According to Beyond Time News, the attacker was stopped by police after an immediate response at the scene.
Attack During Religious Lecture
The incident took place while Engineer Mirza was delivering his regular lecture at the academy. An unidentified armed man suddenly opened fire outside the premises.
During the attack, a police constable named Ahsan, who was on duty at the location, was injured after being hit in the leg. He was quickly shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
No other injuries or casualties were reported.

Police officials said they responded quickly to the firing and engaged the attacker in an exchange of fire.
