Hyderabad Kingsmen Storm Into Playoffs With Dominant Win

KARACHI: Hyderabad Kingsmen delivered a commanding performance to secure a playoffs spot after crushing Rawalpindiz by 108 runs in a high-scoring clash.

According to Beyond Time News, the Kingsmen posted a massive total of 244-6 at the National Bank Stadium and then backed it up with a strong bowling display.

As a result, they moved ahead of Lahore Qalandars to claim fourth place on the points table, thanks to a superior net run rate.

Explosive Batting Sets the Tone

Hyderabad Kingsmen came out attacking from the start. Although captain Marnus Labuschagne fell early, Maaz Sadaqat and Usman Khan quickly built momentum.

Usman Khan smashed a quick 54 off 26 balls. Meanwhile, Maaz added 28 in just 11 deliveries. Soon after, Saim Ayub chipped in with a brief but aggressive cameo.

However, the real turning point came when Glenn Maxwell and Kusal Perera took charge. Maxwell hammered 70 off 37 balls, hitting boundaries all around the ground. At the same time, Perera played a steady knock of 50 not out.

Together, they added a crucial 108-run partnership. In the final overs, Hassan Khan provided a powerful finish with 16 runs off just four balls.

Rawalpindiz Collapse Under Pressure

In response, Rawalpindiz started well and reached 56-1 early in the innings. However, the momentum quickly shifted.

Hunain Shah led the bowling attack with an outstanding spell, taking 4 wickets for 22 runs. He removed key batters at crucial moments and broke the backbone of the chase.

Akif Javed also played an important role, picking up three wickets. As wickets kept falling, Rawalpindiz struggled to build partnerships.

Usman Khawaja fought hard with an unbeaten 66, but he lacked support from the other end. Eventually, the team collapsed for 136 in 17.1 overs.

Playoffs Spot Secured

With this emphatic win, Hyderabad Kingsmen sealed their place in the PSL 11 playoffs. The victory margin also helped them improve their net run rate significantly.

Overall, the team showed strength in both batting and bowling. Their all-round performance now puts them in a strong position heading into the knockout stage.
