Iran Says US Can No Longer “Dictate Policy” to Independent Nations

Iran has said the United States is no longer in a position to dictate policies to other countries, amid ongoing tensions linked to regional conflict and stalled peace talks.

According to Beyond Time News, the remarks come as diplomatic efforts continue over the future of the Strait of Hormuz, a key global energy route.

Strait of Hormuz at Center of Tensions

Iran has reportedly maintained pressure over the strategic waterway since the early phase of the conflict involving the United States and Israel, disrupting global energy flows and making the strait a key issue in ongoing negotiations.

A proposal under discussion in Washington is said to include reopening the Strait of Hormuz as part of broader efforts to reach a lasting settlement.

Iran’s Position on Negotiations

Iranian Defence Ministry spokesman Reza Talaei-Nik said the US must “abandon its illegal and irrational demands,” adding that Washington can no longer impose its policy on independent states, according to state media.

He also said Iran is open to sharing its defensive capabilities with friendly nations, particularly members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

Conclusion

While a ceasefire has paused direct fighting, broader negotiations remain unresolved. According to Beyond Time News, the Strait of Hormuz continues to play a central role in diplomatic efforts and global energy market stability.
