A shocking house robbery in Karachi has raised fresh concerns over the city’s growing crime rate after armed robbers allegedly held an entire family hostage and escaped with cash, gold, and valuables.
According to Beyond Time News, the incident took place near Mosamiyat Chowrangi on Friday afternoon. Police said four armed suspects arrived at the house in a white vehicle around 3pm before forcing their way inside.
The robbers reportedly held family members at gunpoint while searching the house. During the robbery, the suspects allegedly threatened children and created panic inside the home.
The victim later registered an FIR at Mobina Town police station, stating that the robbers escaped with more than Rs1.075 million in cash, 10 tolas of gold jewellery, licensed weapons, expensive watches, and several other valuable household items.
Police officials confirmed that CCTV footage collected from a nearby house showed the suspects fleeing the scene in a white car. Authorities have launched an investigation and are working to identify the men involved in the robbery.

The latest incident has once again highlighted concerns over increasing street crime and organized robberies in Karachi.
According to Beyond Time News, another major robbery was reported earlier in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 13-D, where suspects disguised as utility company workers carried out a planned robbery inside a residential building.
CCTV footage from that incident reportedly showed multiple armed suspects involved in the crime. Initial investigations revealed that four men arrived in a truck and entered the building, while three accomplices waited nearby in another vehicle to assist in the escape.
Police continue investigations into both incidents as residents demand stronger security measures across the city.
