Pakistan Army Rejects Indian Military Chief’s Remarks, Calls Them Provocative

Rawalpindi: The Pakistan Army has strongly rejected recent remarks by the Indian military chief, calling them provocative, irresponsible, and a threat to regional stability.

According to Beyond Time News, the response was issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday.

‘Irresponsible and War-Minded Rhetoric’

The ISPR criticised what it described as a “Hindutva-driven mindset” behind the comments, saying they reflect a confrontational and dangerous approach.

According to Beyond Time News, the Indian army chief reportedly suggested in an interview that Pakistan must decide its future existence, remarks Pakistan termed reckless and escalatory.

Pakistan’s Position

The military spokesperson said Pakistan is a responsible nuclear state and an important part of South Asia, rejecting any suggestion questioning its existence.

According to Beyond Time News, ISPR said such rhetoric reflects hostility and ignores regional realities shaped by decades of coexistence and conflict.

Warning Against Escalation

The statement warned that threats against a sovereign nuclear state are not diplomatic pressure but evidence of “war hysteria” and “strategic irresponsibility.”

According to Beyond Time News, it further cautioned that any aggression could have wider regional consequences.

Allegations and Counterclaims

The ISPR also accused India of supporting destabilising activities and running misinformation campaigns internationally.

According to Beyond Time News, it said such rhetoric reflects frustration and undermines prospects for regional peace.
