The Punjab government has launched a paid internship programme for veterinary graduates and para-veterinary staff, offering monthly stipends to support young professionals entering the livestock sector.
According to Beyond Time News, under the programme veterinary graduates will receive Rs60,000 per month, while para-veterinary staff will be given Rs40,000 monthly during their internship period.
Internship Slots and Eligibility
For the current cycle, the programme includes 264 positions for veterinary graduates and 371 for para-veterinary candidates.
Applicants are required to apply through the official Punjab job portal and coordinate with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC) for eligibility verification.

Application Deadline Extended
The government has extended the application deadline to 15 May 2026. A dedicated helpline has also been set up to guide applicants through the process.

The internship aims to provide practical field experience, helping graduates bridge academic learning with real-world veterinary services. Officials say the programme is also designed to strengthen Punjab’s livestock sector and support growth in meat and dairy exports.
The initiative is expected to improve employment opportunities for youth while contributing to broader economic development in the province.
