Karachi: The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has launched a digital one-window system to simplify and speed up construction permit approvals across Sindh.
According to Beyond Time News, the new system is designed to improve transparency, reduce delays, and provide easier access to services for citizens, builders, architects, and engineers.
Online Approval System Introduced
The centralized digital platform will offer multiple online services, including:
- Online application submission
- E-payment of challans
- Real-time application tracking
- SMS alerts and updates
- Digital approvals and e-certifications
SBCA is also introducing a mobile app and upgraded e-portal to improve coordination between departments and speed up processing.
15-Day Processing for Residential Cases
Under the new procedure, Category One residential cases will be processed within 15 days, provided all required documents and legal conditions are fulfilled.
The category includes residential plots up to 399 square yards under specified conditions, as well as larger bungalow cases.
Other Project Categories
Category Two and Three applications will continue to be handled through district offices under existing rules.
Meanwhile:
- Category Four projects, including public-use, public-sale, and industrial buildings, will be processed through the one-window cell.
- Category Five projects related to large town planning and land development schemes will also be managed through the centralized system.
