Sharjah: Certificate Attestation Time Reduced from 6 Days

Sharjah: The UAE has launched a new digital system that cuts academic certificate attestation time from six working days to just three minutes, according to Beyond Time News.

New digital service launched

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) have introduced an electronic attestation and certificate issuance service. The service operates through the “Dalil” platform.

Officials said the system connects government entities digitally. As a result, users no longer need to complete multiple manual steps.

Faster and simpler process

Previously, certificate issuance and attestation required separate procedures and several days of processing. Now, the process has been combined into a single digital workflow.

In addition, parents and students can complete all steps through one platform. This reduces paperwork and saves significant time.

Strong push for digital government

Authorities said the initiative supports the UAE’s “Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme.” It also reflects the country’s broader push toward digital transformation.

MoFA officials said the system improves accuracy, speed, and service quality. SPEA officials also highlighted better user experience and improved efficiency.

How the system works

Through direct integration, certificates are issued by SPEA and then automatically processed for attestation by MoFA. The system also includes verification through UAE diplomatic missions when required.

All steps are completed within a single digital interface. Therefore, users avoid switching between different platforms.

Major time reduction achieved

Officials confirmed that the entire process now takes around three minutes. Earlier, it used to take up to six working days.

They said the new system marks a major improvement in government service delivery.
