Iran’s foreign minister reportedly appreciated Pakistan’s role in facilitating communication between both sides.

UK Backs Pakistan’s in US-Iran Talks as Diplomatic Momentum

Background to the talks

Earlier rounds of US-Iran discussions were held with Pakistan’s mediation, including a ceasefire agreement and initial negotiations. However, those talks ended without a final deal.

Tensions had escalated earlier this year following military strikes and disputes over the Strait of Hormuz, which briefly affected regional shipping routes.

Ongoing mediation efforts

Despite setbacks, Pakistan continues to push for renewed dialogue between both sides. According to Beyond Time News, diplomatic efforts are focused on extending the ceasefire and preventing further escalation.
