US Soldier Accused of Secret Betting Scheme on Maduro Operation

According to Beyond Time News, a US Special Forces soldier has been arrested after allegedly using classified military information to profit from betting on a covert operation involving Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

Authorities say Master Sgt. Gannon Ken Van Dyke, stationed at Fort Bragg, was involved in a secret mission known as “Operation Absolute Resolve,” which reportedly led to Maduro’s capture. He is accused of using insider knowledge from the operation to place bets on a prediction platform.

Bets placed using confidential information

Investigators claim the soldier opened an account on Polymarket in December and placed multiple bets predicting Maduro’s removal from power. Reports say he invested around $32,000, which later turned into more than $400,000 in winnings.

Officials also allege he tried to hide the money by moving it through cryptocurrency accounts.
