Usman Khan Powers Kingsmen to Strong Total

According to Beyond Time News, Usman Khan played a match-defining knock to lift Hyderabad Kingsmen to a competitive total against Islamabad United in Eliminator 2 of the Pakistan Super League Season 11.

The match is being played at the Gaddafi Stadium, where Kingsmen posted 186/5 in their 20 overs after being asked to bat first.

Early Collapse and Recovery

Kingsmen had a shaky start when Richard Gleeson dismissed Maaz Sadaqat for a duck in the opening over.

Saim Ayub and captain Marnus Labuschagne then rebuilt the innings with a steady 70-run partnership. Ayub scored 38 off 27 balls, while Labuschagne added 40 from 32 deliveries.

United Fight Back in Middle Overs

Imad Wasim turned the game briefly in United’s favour. He removed Glenn Maxwell and Labuschagne in the same over, reducing Kingsmen to 85/4.

This double breakthrough slowed the scoring and put pressure back on the batting side.

Match-Winning Partnership

Usman Khan and Kusal Perera changed the momentum with an unbeaten 101-run partnership for the fifth wicket.

Usman led the charge with a fluent 61 not out off just 30 balls, hitting 10 boundaries. Perera supported him well with 37 off 21 balls, including four fours and two sixes.

Their aggressive stand helped Kingsmen recover strongly and finish with a challenging total.

Bowling Effort from United

For Islamabad United, Imad Wasim stood out with economical figures of 2/16. Gleeson, Faheem Ashraf, and Chris Green picked up one wicket each.

A Competitive Chase Ahead

The total of 186 sets up an exciting contest in this knockout match. Hyderabad Kingsmen will look to defend the score, while Islamabad United must produce a strong batting performance to keep their campaign alive in the Pakistan Super League Season 11.
