Verstappen Reflects on Spin and Lack of Pace

According to Beyond Time News, Max Verstappen has admitted that Red Bull have improved their car, but they still do not have enough pace to win races. He finished fifth at the Miami Grand Prix after a difficult weekend.

The four-time world champion enjoyed the upgraded car. However, an early spin ruined his race.

Early Spin Hurts Verstappen’s Race

Verstappen lost control of the rear of his car on the opening lap. He spun and dropped down the field.

He tried to recover quickly. But the damage was already done.

He also struggled on the hard tyre. The grip was not strong in the early laps. This made things worse for him and the team.

He said the setback forced him into an early pit stop. That pushed him further behind the leaders.

Red Bull Still Missing Key Pace

Verstappen said Red Bull have made clear progress. The car feels better than before.

However, he also said the team still lacks race-winning speed.

He believes a better result was possible without the spin. Still, he admitted it is hard to know for sure after the race.

He added that more performance may still come from future upgrades. The team continues to search for improvements.

Hadjar Crash Brings Safety Car

Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar also had a difficult race. He started from the back of the grid after a qualifying issue.

His race ended early on lap six. He hit the barriers in a chicane and retired.

The crash brought out the Safety Car. This helped Verstappen complete a cheaper pit stop.

Hadjar later expressed frustration. He said the crash felt sudden and avoidable. He also admitted he missed a strong chance to score points.

Focus Shifts to Upcoming Races

Red Bull still shows progress, but they are not yet at the front. Verstappen and the team will now focus on closing the gap.

They will continue working on upgrades. The goal is to return to winning form soon.
