Why Road Safety Is Becoming a Major Issue

Traffic experts say rapid urban growth, increasing numbers of heavy vehicles, weak enforcement of traffic laws, and unsafe driving practices are contributing to Karachi’s worsening accident record.

Motorcyclists remain among the most vulnerable road users, particularly on major roads where trucks, trailers, and dumpers operate throughout the day.

Investigation Continues

Police said the investigation into Thursday’s crash is ongoing. Officials will determine whether negligence, overspeeding, or other traffic violations contributed to the fatal accident.

The incident has once again highlighted the urgent need for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations and improved safety measures on Karachi’s busy highways.
