On Saturday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 38.5°C, with hot and dry weather prevailing across the metropolis.

PMD has warned of rising temperatures:
- Sunday: up to 40°C
- Monday: up to 41°C
Officials say heatwave-like conditions may persist until early May.
