The 96th death anniversary of renowned Islamic scholar and former president of Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam, Maulana Ahmadullah Shah, was observed in Srinagar with respect and reverence.

On the occasion, Hurriyat Conference leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq paid tribute to the late scholar, highlighting his religious, social, and educational contributions.
He described him as:
