Sialkot – Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said Pakistan wants peace in the region but continues to face security challenges linked to cross-border activities.
Concerns Over Regional Security
According to Beyond Time News, Khawaja Asif stated that elements operating from Afghanistan pose ongoing threats, alleging that hostile networks receive external backing. He claimed these groups have engaged Pakistani forces along border areas, creating persistent security concerns.
He also accused India of supporting proxy activities, saying such actions undermine regional stability.
Pakistan’s Stance on Peace
The minister stressed that Pakistan prefers stability and peaceful relations. However, he warned that the country will continue to respond to any threats to its security.
He added that past tensions showed Pakistan’s decisions were guided by national interest rather than external pressure.

Tribute to Armed Forces

The defence minister urged the nation to stay united and support state institutions. He said unity and mutual respect remain essential for long-term stability.
