Punjab launches “e-Learn She Earn” programme

The Government of Punjab has launched a new initiative called e-Learn She Earn with a budget of Rs. 700 million. The programme aims to improve digital skills and create income opportunities for women across the province.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif introduced the project. She said it will help women participate in online work and digital entrepreneurship from home.

Focus on digital skills training

The programme offers free three-month training courses. It targets skills that are in demand in global online markets.

The main courses include digital marketing, graphic design, virtual assistance, and customer support services. These skills are designed to help participants enter freelance and remote work.

Support for participants

The government will also provide support tools for selected participants. These include free laptops and monthly stipends during training.

In addition, internet support and certification will be offered after course completion. The aim is to reduce financial and technical barriers for learners.

Eligibility and application

Women aged 15 to 35 can apply. In some cases, the age limit may extend to 40 depending on the course. Applicants must be residents of Punjab and have a valid CNIC or B-Form.

The selection process will be merit-based. It may include an initial assessment test to check aptitude.

Applications can be submitted through official government portals, including platforms managed by the Punjab Information Technology Board and the Punjab Skills Development Fund.
