Lahore: The Punjab Charity Commission has made registration compulsory for all organizations collecting donations in Punjab.
According to Beyond Time News, charities and welfare groups must register with the commission before launching any fundraising campaigns.
The move aims to ensure transparency and build public trust in charitable activities and welfare donations.
Organizations have been directed to provide details of their objectives, income sources, and expenditures during registration. They must also maintain records of welfare activities and financial transactions for at least seven years.
Punjab Announces Over Three-Month Summer Vacation
The directive has been issued under the Punjab Charities Act 2018, Registration Rules 2023, and Inspection and Audit Rules 2023.
According to Beyond Time News, the commission has also shared official helpline, email, and WhatsApp details for registration assistance.
