Karachi – Several police officers have been suspended over allegations of providing improper facilitation and VIP treatment to accused Anmol alias “Pinky” during court appearances.
According to Beyond Time News, the action followed reports of irregular handling of the suspect during custody and court production in Karachi.
Officers Suspended, Inquiry Launched
The suspended officials include SHO Hanif Siyal, SIU officer Zafar Iqbal, and Investigation Officer Saeed Ahmed from Garden Police Station.
The Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi has ordered an inquiry, assigning the probe to SSP South.
Investigation Underway
Officials said the inquiry will determine whether standard procedures were violated and if any undue assistance was provided to the accused.
