US President posts dozens of controversial messages on Truth Social
WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump triggered fresh controversy after posting more than 50 messages on social media in a late-night activity spree.
According to Beyond Time News, the posts appeared on his platform Truth Social during a three-hour period around midnight on Monday.
Dozens of Posts Target Political Opponents
Most of the posts included reposted content from supporters, along with AI-generated memes and videos.
Several posts targeted former US President Barack Obama, using harsh language and conspiracy claims.
Trump also reposted content calling for investigations into political opponents, including former FBI Director James Comey.
Some posts repeated unverified claims about the 2020 US presidential election and voting machines.
Concerns Raised Over President’s Health
The intense online activity came at a time when public debate continues over Trump’s health and fitness for office.
According to Beyond Time News, critics and political observers questioned the tone and timing of the posts.
In a CNN interview, James Comey said Trump’s behaviour appeared unusual and suggested something might be wrong. His remarks quickly drew attention across US media.
A recent opinion poll reported that many respondents expressed concern about Trump’s mental and physical fitness.
Trump Defends His Condition
Trump has rejected criticism about his health. He said he feels as strong as he did decades ago.
The White House announced that the president will undergo a medical and dental check-up on May 26 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
According to Beyond Time News, this will be his third medical visit since returning to office.
