Defence minister highlights cooperation with provincial government during National Assembly session

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said the federal government and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration are now fully aligned in efforts to combat terrorism.

According to Beyond Time News, he made the remarks during a National Assembly session while responding to concerns raised about the worsening security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Centre and KP ‘On the Same Page’

Khawaja Asif acknowledged that coordination between the Centre and the provincial government had improved significantly.

The minister stated that Pakistan had sought assurances regarding militant activity but claimed no lasting solution had emerged from the discussions.
